Important GROUP Information to make your Harvest Fest Field Trip a success!
PLEASE READ:
1. Reservations in advance are required for all field trips. Pre-paid reservations are highly recommended. However, if you are not able to arrange payment in advance, money will be collected upon your arrival from one designated person in your group (i.e. teacher, aid, or homeroom parent) who will pay for all members of your group including students, siblings and parents at one time. We accept Checks, Visa, Master Card or cash. With prepaid admissions only, for every twelve (12) paying guests, the group will receive one (1) FREE grant admission. Sorry we do not accept purchase orders. To make a reservation please phone (530) 389-8989 or access the email tab on our website and send us an email. Field trips fill up quickly so make reservations as soon as possible. Cancellations are required 7 days in advance of arrival and must be in writing by email or mail to "Little Bear Creek Tree Farm, P.O. Box 1122, Alta, Ca. 95701". Phone cancellations cannot be accepted. No refunds will be provided after the cancellation deadline. Sorry - no exceptions.
2. Due to the length of large school buses, we cannot allow them in the main gate across the bridge. Please notify farm when making reservation for alternate access to the farm.
3. Those in smaller vehicles will enter over the bridge and park in designated areas. Assemble all members of your group at the campfire circle at the base of the flagpole where our tour guide will greet you and assist with payment if not prepaid. At that time each person will receive a color coded label, to be affixed to their upper left shoulder, an itinerary, a map and a voucher for a cup of apple cider. Color coded labels assure that all members of your group stay together in the same field trip presentation and remain together for selection of their small pumpkins.
4. The tour and presentation takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes and does not include snack or lunch time. Our gift shop offers a small selection of goodies to purchase and you are welcome to bring a snack or lunch. Picnic tables and restrooms are available. Please do not plan on staying on the farm for more than 2 hours.
5. Miscellaneous:
- If you are late for your guided tour, it may be impossible to take the complete tour. We will try our best. If you are delayed, please call ahead! (530) 389-8989.
- We suggest comfortable clothes and shoes as the terrain of the farm varies.
- Wheelchair access is limited in some areas and may require assistance.
- We recommend you bring boxes or bags for your pumpkins and washable markers to identify pumpkins for each member of your group.
- Teachers and parents are solely responsible for the control of all children and members of the group at all times.
